The start of a new year. Time for one to make changes. It depends on the individual, however, whether to make the changes and actually stick with it. These resolutions. They may be easy to come up with, but the challenge of creating such positive changes will be difficult. Right now, I want to change. Resolutions are useless if you do not put deep thought into how you wish to fulfill them. So with this, I shall accompany each resolution with way(s) on how I intend to achieve it.
1 Be more on task.
I shall create a daily schedule (to include academic, social and other aspects of life). Following a schedule may be hard, so the schedule has to be flexible and not all time slots should be booked with an activity. First step now is to create the schedule itself. Also, homework and assignments should be recorded on a daily basis. Important deadlines should be highlighted. In addition, dates of meetings and events should also be recorded. I need a calender for this.
2 To spend more time with the people that matter. (as cliche as it sounds)
It's going to be hard. This is one of the resolutions that you can't avoid breaking year after year. There is always a chance of an incident to happen that prevents you from spending time with those people that matter. Be it personal or other reasons. They are the people that we neglect the most because when love is unconditional, you tend to appreciate less - as you need not work for it. The least I can do is to always pray from them, keep them in my thoughts, wish for their well-being.
3 Change an individual & distinctive style.
The start will be to create an identity - appearance-wise. In the modern world, we all struggle with our sense of identity and question, "Who am I?" If I don't start now, when will I? It's going to be tough, from someone who lacks any sense of style. Not forgetting, I wish to change my handwriting.
4 Learn basic Mandarin.
3 phrases per week. Learn to speak the right way (get the different tones correct) and also, to write it. I need a tutor - who is willing to dedicate and is passionate. Someone who doesn't give up and have the patience. I admit, I'm a slow learner.
5 Braver.
Just-need-courage.
